They in turn help their companies maintain current and successful HR programs and processes while fostering successful work environments that are also compliant to avoid expensive lawsuits and legal actions.
The following are the core values we live with each day. Fundamentally we believe we are responsible for setting examples and in many ways leading the way for building high performing teams and cultures.
1. Focus on Happiness and Exceeding Expectations
Whether we are dealing with coworkers, suppliers or our amazing clients, we need to always exceed expectations and go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that they have the best possible experience. As we are trying to run a profitable enterprise that can invest back into our people and our customers, we will WOW people with our service and experience but not monetary discount (like free or discounted products).

2. Embrace Real-Time Communication with Trust and Faith as the Pillar to All Communications
We believe that our entire community is committed to the betterment of the HR function. Our community will offer opinions, advice, and guidance to help others in need. At and in our community we will always be transparent and truthful and constructive. Sharing our experience will help others to benefit from our mistakes and experiences. Fundamentally, we believe that openness and honesty make for the best relationships because that leads to trust and faith. We value strong relationships in all areas: with managers, direct reports, customers (internal and external), vendors, business partners, team members. We will strive to develop emotional connections with each other. A key ingredient in strong relationships is to develop emotional connections. It’s important to always act with integrity in your relationships, to be compassionate, friendly, loyal, and to make sure that you do the right thing and treat your relationships well. Open, honest communication is the best foundation for any relationship, but remember that at the end of the day it’s not what you say or what you do, but how you make people feel that matters the most. In order for someone to feel good about a relationship, he/she must know that the other person truly cares about them, both personally and professionally.

3. Live and Love Passionately
Enthusiasm is contagious. Passion is what very few people have the opportunity to show each and every day of their lives. We love to work with passionate people and we love passionate clients and suppliers. It’s contagious and it’s fun. We value passion, determination, perseverance, and the sense of urgency. We believe in having a positive and optimistic (but realistic) attitude about everything we do because we realize that this inspires others to have the same attitude. There is excitement in knowing that everyone you work with has the same dreams and goals and passion at work and in life.

4. Build a Positive Team and Family Spirit
We want to create an environment that is friendly, warm, and exciting. We encourage diversity in ideas, opinions, and points of view. Ideas come not only from our cast but from our community, our suppliers and our partners. As, our goal is to create the best people in our company but also within our members’ companies. We need to lead by example so our community follows. The power of our community and its 280,000 members is so much stronger than the power of individual cast members. Our roles are to listen to our community for ideas, as we believe that, in general, the best ideas and decisions are made from the bottom up, meaning by those who are on the front lines and closest to the issues and/or the customers. The best cast members take ownership of issues and collaborate with other team members whenever challenges arise. We are more than just a team though — we are a family. We watch out for each other, care for each other, and go above and beyond for each other because we believe in each other and we trust each other. We work together, but we also play together. Our bonds go far beyond the typical “co-worker” relationships found at most other companies. We travel together, we drink together, and we change communities together.

5. Learn Quick, Fail Fast, and Celebrate Success
The world of the web has brought us constant change. For our industry, we need to lead this change sometimes with failure and persistency until we get it right. We were the first company to launch Webcasts in 1993 for HR professionals. We pioneered and invented Virtual Events in 2005, and we always push the envelope in Social Media. Sometimes launches aren’t perfect but that’s ok. We fail fast and regroup. Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn but we do not like to lose. Failure is not the opposite of success; it is on the road to it. Fail fast, improve and you ultimately persevere.

6. Embrace and Drive Change
In the world of social media, change is quick and constant. Things that weren’t even possible a few years ago are now being adopted by millions. We need to lead and encourage change and want leaders that can quickly adapt . We can never accept or be too comfortable with the status quo because, historically, the companies that get into trouble are the ones that aren’t able to respond quickly enough and adapt to change.

7. Have Fun and Be Quirky
We believe our cast can conquer the world. We hire for aptitude and can train or develop the skills we require. We value fun and hire only quirky people which enables us all to show how unique we are in this world. We want the company to have a unique and memorable personality. One of the side effects of encouraging quirkiness is that it encourages people to think outside the box and be more innovative, and contribute ideas that you would never have thought possible.

8. Be Innovative, Creative, and Open-Minded
At, we think it’s important for our cast and the company as a whole to be bold and innovative and take risks as long as we learn quickly from our mistakes and improve. We never want to become complacent and accept the status quo just because that’s the way things have always been done. We always need to focus on improvement . We should always be seeking adventure and having fun exploring new possibilities. By having the freedom to be creative in our solutions, we end up making our own luck. We approach situations and challenges with an open mind.

9. Always Learn and Never Settle for Just OK
At, we think it’s important for employees to grow both personally and professionally, to learn something each and every day at work, and to share this learning. We have a 20 minute lunch and learn each and every day where cast members share learning experiences. We believe that inside every employee is more potential than even the employee himself/herself realizes and our job is to uncover the hidden potential and apply it in a meaningful and exponential way to their every day work environment. It can also feel overwhelming, stressful, and confusing at times. One often wonders why do I need to know this to do my job, but the reality is we want you to know as much as possible so you can imagine the possibilities to make your job better. You are always thinking of what you can do to improve customer happiness. In many ways, we are breaking new ground, creating new models and we are creating experts. We strive to make a 1% improvement each day. It’s more realistic to take bite sized chunks to improve rather than try to tackle changing the world at once. A 1% improvement every day adds up to big improvements in ourselves as people and as employees.

10. Be Frugal and Spend Wisely
We are self funded and need to treat every dollar like it was our own. Every dollar we save, we can use to develop people or invest in our business. We reward frugality and have always been about being able to do more with less. In order to stay ahead of the competition (or would-be competition), we need to continuously innovate and make significant improvements to our operations, increasing operational efficiencies as well as always making the client experience better.
